The second day of this project has seen little progress. A lot of work lost because I appearantly forgot to bring my Unreal Project to my current location, so I had to redo the lighting. Fortunatly I also added a few stair steps as well as a plateu to give the environment a small but effective layer of verticality adding interest to the environment. I also added the game res table into the scene which I made a couple of months back as an attempt at making a speed prop.

Today I started working on a new environment for the holidays, a dining hall in a castle. Only done the blockout so far, as well as a table. Hopefully I'll be done before/shortly after my studies resume on the 7th of January. As I'm not spending the holidays at home where I have my PC, I unfortunatly have to work on a slower laptop. Nevertheless I hope it doesn't slow my work down too much. I'll try to get the blockout into Unreal tomorrow and get some lighting going. While making the chains of the chandeliers today I also got to learn the basic functions of Maya's MASH, duplicating objects along a curve. Quite useful if I may say so! More updates to follow tomorrow :D
Unfortunatly I was unable to finish the diorama in time due to focusing on other school assignments. I did however manage to do sculpt and retopo for one of the rocks (textures not final), as well as starting to retopo the mushroom I posted earlier. The project will most likely be put on halt as I will focus more on the Artstation Game Environment challenge starting tomorrow (Monday).
Was browsing through some of my favorite Twitch streamer Sinqnew's old videos (https://www.twitch.tv/sinqnew) and artstation (https://www.artstation.com/sinqnew) and got inspired by some of his older work. So I started making a small fantasy diorama. First out: Sculpting mushrooms in ZBrush. I figured out I'd like to have all the sculpts done before I start retopo. Hope I'll be able to finish before the Artstation challenge starts in less than a week!
