The Game Assembly Game Project 4: Akuma

"A demon trapped in a mask needs your help! Journey to the far away temple, aided by the magic powers of the demon"
------------------------------------------------------
Akuma is the fourth game project I took part in creating at The Game Assembly, a 2D pixel platformer made in the in-house engine TGA2D. The project span for 8 weeks halftime (20h/week) with a group consisting of 12 people in total. 3 Game Artists, 2 Animators, 2 Level Designers and 5 Programmers.

During the project I was the Cinematic 3D Artist, mainly responsible for creating the voxel style 3D assets for the cinematics. I was also responsible for project management and the art pipeline, as well as minor UI art elements for the scripted events. For me as a 3D Artist creating a pixel game it was a new experience, especially in a new in house engine I hadn't worked with before. I loved the experience nonetheless and am very appriciative of the rest of the team.
