Hi, yes, it's me. I'm still kicking around with this project. Anyhow, I've been taking a few weeks of break from this project as I was finishing up my first year at The Game Assembly's Game Art programme! It's been great fun so far and I'm looking forward to what the autumn will bring. But before that: SUMMER! Yes that's right, summer is here. I took 2 weeks of vacation to recharge my batteries and now I'm back in action!
I've spent the week wrapping up the highpoly to some great results. Did a bit of a dive into the new cloth brushes (will need further research for that...) as well as some wood sculpting. I found the reference to be a bit monotone with only painted metal and cloth. So I decided to switch it up, adding leather seat and back rest to the mix, along with a few wooden pieces here and there. (Speaking of wood sculpting, thanks Ivanna for that awesome tutorial!)
So what's next? Well, essentially I'm gonna get to work on the final game res asset. Adjusting my midpoly from before ZBrush where needed, and remake what's needed (cushions for example). After that it's on to UVs and then finally textures!
Down below you'll find some shots of the new detailed highpoly sculpt in ZBrush complete with a turntable. I'll see you next week, enjoy!
(Oh you made it all the way, great! Here's a small tease for the diorama. We had an assignment at TGA to sculpt a skull, I'll most likely take it further later and put it in a glass jar in the diorama. It also needs more variation for the teeth. Anyhow, bye for now!)
